Winter 2024 Classes - Ages 9-11
These are our MARVELOUS MONDAY classes for learners ages 9 to 11. You pick and choose which classes you want to enhance your homeschooling program.
9:00AM – 10:00AM: Executive Functioning Bootcamp
Day and Time: Mondays 9:00AM – 10:00AM
Dates: January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12, February 26, and March 4 (Makeup Date will be March 11 if needed)
Location:Â Tree Tops Park, 3900 SW 100th Ave, Davie, FL 33328-1705
Age Range: 9-11
Instructor: Mor Zrihen (with two Teacher’s Aides)
Cost: $210.00 (includes all handouts and materials used in class)
Maximum Students: 16
NOTE: You did NOT need to participate in Part One to take Part Two. During the second 6-week session, students will learn new skills!Â
A fun, hands-on, interactive course – helping children gain skills such as task mastery, attention to details, organization, self-control, planning, time management, flexibility, study & work habits, and more!
Additional supplies required (to be purchased by parent and brought to each session):
- A folder with two pockets
- Pencil pouch/box with sharpened pencils, erasers, colored pencils, and three different colored highlighters
- Glue Stick
- Scissors
10:15AM – 11:15AM: STEM: Desert Island STEM Challenge
Day and Time: Mondays 10:15AM – 11:15AM
Dates: January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12, February 26, and March 4 (Makeup Date will be March 11 if needed)

Age Range: 9-11
Instructor: Eva Goldstein-Meola (with two Teacher’s Aides)
Cost: $230.00 (includes all STEM supplies for projects, handouts, and materials used in class)
Maximum Students:Â 16
Not so long ago, a group of adventurous travelers set sail for a week on the open seas. The skies were clear and blue. The water peaceful and calm. It was ideal conditions for a relaxing voyage.
Unfortunately, on the second night, a great storm came upon the group while they slept in the cabin below deck. The violent storm tossed the passengers from one side of the ship to the other. The captain tried to take control but was knocked overboard by a massive wave.
Eventually, the ship came to a crashing halt when the storm threw it onto the rocky shore of a deserted island. Sadly, only one traveled survived the ordeal – Sir Harley Houndstooth III.  He dragged himself onto the beach and looked around, wondering what to do next.
It is now your job to help him survive the island and get back to the civilized world.
Are you up to the challenge?
Students will become engineers facing various challenges using limited resources. In small cooperative groups, students will brainstorm, create plans, discuss plans, build and then, see if their creation is up to the task!
11:30AM – 12:30PM Junior Achievement: BizTown Simulation
Day and Time: Mondays 11:30AM – 12:30PM
Dates: January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12, February 26, and March 4 (Makeup Date will be March 11 if needed)
Please note: Our simulation day will take place in Coconut Creek on April 1, 2024, and we will follow-up with an activity day on April 8, 2024 from 1:00PM – 2:00PM.

Instructor: Eva Goldstein-Meola and Jonathan Meola (with two Teacher’s Aides)
Cost: $195.00
Maximum Students: 30
Junior Achievement BizTown combines a 7 – 8 session learning experience with a day-long visit to Coconut Creek, where the students visit and run a simulated town. This popular learning experience allows students to operate banks, manage restaurants, write checks, and vote for mayor. Students are able to connect the dots between what they learn and the real world.Â
Our visit to BizTown is scheduled for April 1, 2023, from 9:00AM – 1:00PM in Coconut Creek (Broward County), Florida.
Parents are NOT permitted to attend the April 1st session, as per Junior Achievement. We have TEN homeschooling chaperones, including our three directors, who will be with our group. You may either stay outside the doors all day and wait, OR drop off and pick up – it is your choice. Â
