SFLHRC is offering a Montessori Pod on MARVELOUS MONDAYS for learners ages 4 to 6.Â
9:15AM – 11:45AM: Montessori Pod
Day and Time: Mondays 9:15AM – 11:45AM
Dates: January 22, January 29, February 5, February 12, February 26, and March 4 (Makeup Date will be March 11 if needed)
Location:Â Tree Tops Park, 3900 SW 100th Ave, Davie, FL 33328-1705
Age Range:Â 4 – 6
Instructor:Â Anne Desir Nicot (with a Teacher’s Aide)
Cost: $380.00 (includes all materials and supplies used in class)
Maximum Students: 10
Montessori is an education philosophy and practice that fosters rigorous, self-motivated growth for children and adolescents in all areas of their development, with a goal of nurturing each child’s natural desire for knowledge, understanding, and respect.
The children will experience language through receptive, expressive, and perceptual lessons. Children will work on language skills with hands-on exercises that include multiple alphabet objects and pictures.
Children will work on the consequential levels of math material based on the understanding of concepts. Lessons also include the instruction of manipulative motor practice of materials, such as the spindle box, sandpaper numerals, etc. Additional concepts include an introduction to continents, land-air-water lessons, and geometric solid practice.
Please note: Parents will be financially responsible for the cost of any lesson supplies damaged by students due to the expensive nature of the Montessori tools used during classes.
