Shayna’s Bio: Shayna Goldstein-Hume is a former homeschooling kiddo! She earned a full scholarship to University of Miami a well as a full fellowship to University of Colorado Boulder.

In October 2023, after finishing up graduate school, she joined Impulse Space as a Guidance, Navigation, and Control (GNC) engineer, as part of a concentrated team tasked with designing their GNC subsystem, flight software, spacecraft operations, and mission profiles with rapid turn-around.

Shayna has a strong backgrounds in both systems engineering, mission design, and project management, with past specialized graduate-level research in Entry, Descent, and Landing (EDL) technologies and optimization for interplanetary missions.

Outside of work, she is involved with the global community of young professionals in space and familiar with the growing array of opportunities in the New Space industry.

Finally, Shayna is an international speaker on various STEM topics. And when her mother can convince her —- which isn’t difficult —-she gives presentations/talks to Eva and Jonathan’s students. Shayna LOVES giving back to the homeschooling community as that is where her roots were established.

I promise you this is something you do NOT want your kids to miss. Shayna is amazing with students. In fact, so good, that I constantly tell her that I need her on my staff as a teacher!
