SFLHRC "I'm Not Going Back to School" Cruise

Join SFLHRC on Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas | September 5-8, 2025

I am NOT Going Back to School Party 2025 aboard the 🛳️ Wonder of the Seas 🛳️!!!
One of RCCL’s NEWEST ships! This is going to be spectacular!

BACKGROUND:

Over a year ago, Jonathan and I decided that we would be hosting a cruise in 2025…. and this idea has been in the “works” over the past three months with our fabulous travel agent Allison, whom I have known for 40 years!  She books EVERYTHING for Jonathan and I.

Personally, I would strongly encourage you to not wait too long on this one! I know that this is FAR in advance; however, to get the best rate – and to give everyone enough time to budget for it and pay it off – this is how we are doing it!

Cabins are VERY limited already on this sailing! We chose RCCL as it is, in our opinion, the “family friendliest” cruise line – and we also made it a point to choose one of their best ships. Your children are going to have the time of their life with their homeschooling friends! You do not want to miss this!

DATES: September 5 – 8, 2025

DURATION: Depart on Friday afternoon, we spend three nights at sea (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) and return to Miami on Monday morning.

  7. Quad Balcony –  Guaranteed ( RCCL will assign closer to the date of sailing)

NOTE: Each cabin has its own rate – and all rates are listed as PER CABIN, not per person.

Please note that the longer you wait to register, your deposit along with any payments will be due simultaneously. It is best to register early and spread it out!

Additionally, please note that as the ship sells more cabins, and the closer we get to the sail date, RCCL INCREASES their prices.

Therefore, these are the prices for NOW —- but will likely change as time goes on.

We will be editing this every month if RCCL increases their prices.

Moral of the story: Book early for the BEST price.  Unfortunately, RCCL no longer holds group cabins, so SFLHRC will be purchasing your cabin as you pay your deposit.

ITINERARY:

Day 1:  Miami | Ship Departs at 4:30 pm

Day 2:  Perfect Day at CocoCay ® | 7:00 am – 5:00 pm

Our private island is a Bahamian paradise; it is always a Perfect Day at CocoCay®.

If you just want to unwind, head to Chill Island on the east side of CocoCay, where you’ll find plenty of ways to relax and recharge. Access to Chill Island is complimentary as are beach chairs and hammocks.  For an additional cost you can up your relaxation game by reserving your own private cabana, clamshell, or daybed. Head to South Beach where you’ll find plenty of beachside activities and water sports, plus lounge chairs for those who want to take a break from all the thrills.  Other features, some at an extra charge, are Thrill Waterpark, Coco Beach Club, Oasis Lagoon, Captain Jack’s, Splashaway Bay, and more. Finally, there are plenty of nature walks to explore!  It is always a Perfect Day at CocoCay®.

SFLHRC will choose a beach so that you can find the group IF you want to join the group so that your kids want to play together!

Personal note here: IMHO, the water park at CocoCay is NOT worth it. I would strongly discourage you from purchasing this excursion. There is so much to do at no cost on CocoCay. Finally, the slides on the ship are BETTER (again, speaking from past experience) than CocoCay.

 Day 3:  Nassau, Bahamas | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm

Get off the ship or stay on – the choice is yours!

Caribbean charm shines in the Bahamian capital, where you’re never more than a few steps away from rhythmic percussions, appetizing flavors, white-sand beaches, and some of the clearest waters in the world. This picture-perfect paradise was once a pirate’s haven— and you can explore its colorful past of buccaneers, blockade-runners, and bootleggers along historical streets and at the three colonial fortresses that line the shores.

If you’re looking for a more hands-on maritime adventure, look no further. Cruise to Nassau and swim with stingrays, dive with dolphins, or spot colorful coral on a glass-bottom boat. And just across the bridge is beautiful Paradise Island, home to world-famous luxury hotels and resorts. Spend the day at the famous Atlantis and splash your way through its expansive water park, grab a piña colada at the Marina Village, and spot the hammerhead sharks in Predator Lagoon.

Day 4:  Miami | Arrives back at port at approximately 6:00 am

NEXT STEPS:

After you register and pay the required deposit, Eva Goldstein-Meola will immediately follow up with you to collect the information needed (see list below) so Allison (our travel agent) can hold your cabin.

  2. Address
  3. Phone Number
  4. Passport Numbers (if you have – it is not required now) for all traveling in your family.  Please note that passports should be current at time of departure, and should not be within six months of expiration, based on the return date of September 8, 2025.
  5. Ages for all traveling in your family
  6. Dates of Birth for all traveling in your family
  7. Email address

NOTE ABOUT HURRICANE SEASON:

If, G-d forbid, there is a storm that specific weekend, RCCL changes our itinerary to safer waters. Either way, our kids will honestly not know the difference as to where we are heading. All they will know is that they are having a fabulous time with their friends (
