Eta Sigma Alpha - Homeschool Honor Society
SFLHRC is beginning the process to be part of Eta Sigma Alpha, the National Homeschool Honor Society.
Eta Sigma Alpha was the first honor society established exclusively for homeschooled students in Grades 9-12. Founded in 1999 by Joanne E. Juren, M.Ed., it has grown into an international organization with several chapters over the years in Mexico, Europe, and Africa.
Serving students across the United States, ESA provides a wonderful opportunity for leadership, service, networking, and socialization for homeschooled students.
The goals of Eta Sigma Alpha are to:
- Recognize and promote scholarship and academic excellence
- Create opportunities for leadership
- Foster networking and socializing among homeschooled students
- Plan and participate in service projects
For many, Eta Sigma Alpha will provide an excellent extracurricular activity and credential on future college or scholarship applications. Upon acceptance, SFLHRC’s chapter will be open to all qualified homeschooled students in the South Florida area.
