  • parents who are THINKING about homeschooling
  • parents who are NEW to homeschooling, and
  • parents who are seasoned homeschoolers (but find themselves needing a little bit of motivation, reassurance or simply a refresher!)

All parents MUST register via Omella in order to attend; click the button below to sign up:

These workshops will take place across several Sunday evenings from late June to mid-August, and will be virtually hosted on Zoom.

ONLINE Parent Workshop: Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Homeschooling (July 30, 2023 – 6:45PM-8:45PM)

The recent adoption of AI (artificial intelligence) tools such as OpenAI and ChatGPT by the general public has had a significant impact on homeschool education in the United States.

While there are benefits to be found with utilizing certain aspects of AI in education, there are several strong arguments to be made as to why parents, students, and educators alike should not rely on AI tools, such as ChatGPT, as a substitute for their own hands-on involvement in secondary and homeschool education.

Join Jonathan Meola, former information & technology architect (and current homeschool educator) as he explores both positive and negative aspects of this new technology.
